What Is WinePodder?
THE WINEPODDER BLOG is here to help guide winemakers through the process of making fine wine in the comfort of their home. We are also here to answer questions and offer a channel through which those winemakers can share information.
When we say fine wine, we’re talking about wine that is good enough to make your friends and family think you’re a wine rock star! Is this possible, you ask? Yes! We’re the folks behind the WinePod, the world’s first computer–controlled, personal winemaking system, and we believe that with good grapes and the WinePod, anyone can become a wine legend.
You may ask, “Why would someone even want to make their own wine at home?” We’ll give those answers here. And, we’ll showcase the winemakers who are using the WinePod in their garages, backyards, sheds, home offices and anywhere else that suits them. At WinePodder, we talk about wine from the point of view of the people who actually make it, the fearless men and women who aren’t afraid of sticking more than their noses into the glass. We’re talking about you, the winemakers who smell and taste the grapes, who get your hands dirty so that you can create your own, personal barrel of wine.
As WinePodders, we share our secrets for great winemaking and we get the low–down from professional winemakers who really understand the process and what it takes to turn grapes into greatness. Historically, there’s been a lot of mysticism and mumbo jumbo surrounding the making of wine. We don’t buy into that. We think that anyone with a passion for wine and a creative spirit can be a great winemaker—no skill required. That’s the beauty of the WinePod. If you don’t know how to do it, we can show you, step by step. As you learn, you can show others—and we all become happy, artisan winemakers.
