The WinePod and Mac Compatibility
Many of our WinePod clients have asked us about Mac compatibility over the past few months. The WinePod software, WineCoach, was designed to work with PC systems. However, we hear your requests and are in the process of developing online software that will expand WineCoach usage to both PCs and Macs. We expect to have this available sometime in the late Fall of 2008.
In order, to provide support for Mac users, we have a few options at this time. If you do not have access to a PC, we have access to low cost PCs that are preloaded and tested with WineCoach software. For those that prefer written instructions, we always supply hard–copy documents of the WineCoach instructions, WineCoach references, WinePod Winemaker’s log, and the WinePod Dictionary.

A few of our customers have used programs such as Bootcamp and Parallels to run our PC–based software on their Intel–based Macs. We are currently testing these programs and will update you when we have more information.

Thank for the Mac attention. Not only is Mac support critical… iPhone control is going to be as well. iPhone control is all the rage in the “Home Automation” industry. I want to be able to monitor my WinePods remotely from my iPhone so I can put them in my restaurants eventually.

Good news! You can monitor your fermentation with the iPhone now. Because the iPhone has native internet browsing capabilities, you can view your dashboard from the iPhone as you would on a computer.
